The LOW EMBODIED CARBON LAB (LECL) at INEB is part of the School of Architecture, Construction and Geomatics (HABG) at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). Within the LECL we are working on strategies to reduce the scope 3 emissions from the construction and real estate industries. The experts of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) group are in charge of calculating the scope 3 emissions of different solutions on the level of products and materials, components and elements, buildings, neighbourhood and whole municipalities. The LCA group offers its cooperation partners a quantitative, independent, consistant and transparent approach to develop life cycle thinking scope 3 reduction strategies for their porducts and assests.

The LECL offers a suit of support and interactive guiding approach to help users to identify the appropiate tools for their needs. Our pool of experts will provide guidance in data callection and mangement process as well as in data interpretation and reporting. The user will get the Scope 3 emissions related to their product as well as a heat map of main contributors to them. Moreover, a slecton of prioroty process where innovation porcess can reduce the scope 3 or produciton cost

The customers needs to ahve access to basic quantities related to the produciton process of the sudied product or service. The data requeiremets and collection strategy will be supported by LECL
