Zentrales Technologieprogramm Saar

The Central Technology Program Saar (Zentrales Technologieprogramm Saar) is an initiative by the Saarland state government to support innovative and promising research and development (R&D) projects. The program aims to enhance the innovation potential of companies based in Saarland by providing financial assistance for both individual and collaborative R&D endeavors. Funding is available for projects conducted solely by companies as well as joint projects between companies and academic or research institutions. The program is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and offers non-repayable grants to eligible applicants.

Scope

These fields include Mechatronics, Automation, Production Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Life Sciences, Materials, and the cross-sectional theme of Energy. Eligible projects may involve the development of new products, processes, or services, as well as the enhancement of existing ones. Both individual company projects and collaborative efforts between enterprises and research institutions are encouraged. The program also supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in hiring qualified R&D personnel and procuring external R&D services.
