The implement is designed for multi-row single plant treatment in crops with various row distances. The design enables fast targeting and treatment of single plants, and allows for different targeting schemes for optimal treatment of different weed types and challenging crop scenarios. The work areas of neighbouring weeding scanners can be overlapped for patches with high weed density. A safety concept for on field use is implemented comprising beam forming and other safety measures in accordance with the machine directive.
The implement is modular supporting exchange of components for maintenance or upgrade and adaptability to different host vehicles, e.g. different types of robots and implements behind a tractor. So, it can be exploited as a tool for a commercial product as well as for agronomic or technological research regarding laser weeding.
