CONVLIB: Convolution operators on multicore ARM and RISC-V architectures

CONVLIB is a library containing high performance implementations of convolution algorithms for multicore platforms with ARM and RISC-V architectures. The library contains a driver routine that identifies the best values for four hyper-parameters: micro-kernel, cache configuration parameters, parallelization loop and algorithm, automatically adapting the call to the dimensions of the convolution operator.

Current stage description

The development of software for deep learning has been an active project at UPV for the last 5 years. It reuses knowledge and more basic software components (e.g., kernels for matrix multiplication) developed in the framework of past projects. We foresee the utilization of the software in new projects UPV has just started.

CONVLIB is a library containing high performance implementations of convolution algorithms for multicore platforms with ARM and RISC-V architectures which outperform functionally-equivalent counterparts from hardware vendors as well as well-known pakages: ARMPL, BLIS, OpenBLAS. The library implements three convolution algorithms, and is enhanced with a driver that automatically selects the best option for each convolution operator.
