Result description
Equipment and processing technology used for Li metal anodes, Si anodes, solid state electrolytes like LPS and LGPS, lithiophilic layers and barrier laywers for next generation batteries (Gen 4-5). Feasible next generation battery concepts are semisolid state, hybrid solid state and all-solid state batteries as well as anodeless solutions.
We have developed processing technology and equipments allowing processing of key materials for next generation batteries including metallic Li anodes, various solid state electrolyte and critical barrier layers.

R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
We have developed key processing modules to process in roll-to-roll manner critical materials and componets required for next generation batteries up to widths of 250-300 mm. Our next step is to develop scale-up of the process further and demonstrate performance using full scale batteries.
The development technology platform allows freedom to operate in next generation battery space depending on the own business targets and also to utilize same technology platform for other growing and future applications (hydrogen, tribology, displays, antimicrobial surfaces…)
We can utilize process technology development for batteries also for other applications like water electrolyzers.
