Forecasting the probability of improvised explosive device attack identifying the critical vulnerable zones and impact of mass shooting terrorist attacks in terms of casualties. It can be used in planning stages to improve the deployment of security assets covering vulnerable areas or reducing intervention times as well as in response stages to optimize the intervention/evacuation strategy depending on the dynamic real-time evolution of the emergency.

Current stage description

Within S4Allcities our module reached TRL 7- For the next steps we intend to develop and calibrate mass shooting models with more accurate physics and shooter accuracies, as well as developing alternative attack models (ramming or knife attacks) in line with current trends.

TAHAT is able to support LEAs and security operators in decission making processess for public spaces and mass gathering events in an unbiased way. Countermeasures carried out by end users using threat analysis and sugestions it is foreseeable that they will improve protection policies and measures and also reduce the number of casualties in the event of terrorist attack.
