Result description
The Material Database is a web-based tool where data is organized so that it can be easily accessed, managed and updated. This database has been specifically designed to allow a good material selection regading ciruclar economy and sustainability parameters, with a proper selection of the more important paramenters related with sustainaiblity in the Build Environment sector. In addition, it includes general parameters already offered for other tools.
It is an open database that is editable by third parties through an open web tool. The PLUG-N-HARVEST Circular Material Database has behind software that can gather data about materials that can be applied in a product.

The tool can be connected to different building products’ databases in different EU countries, thus scaling out and scaling up the business model.
It could be use as input material for building material passports
Further software development can be done to replicate the result to other sectors or industries
The tool has been desgined for circular economy business model that will lead the future building developments
