Command and Control Suite for the Advanced Digitalization of DHC Systems

Result description

The Command and Control suite visualises the plant and network performance, the energy consumption/export and system’s performance, notify/receive service anomalies, receive demand-response calls and accept or reject them (either manually or based on the introduced comfort levels), and provides information about the planned building’s use (used for refining the energy demand modelling). It is also a forecasting tool used in the operational life of the energy systems. The dashboard can also be accessible on the PC or via an app (i.e., iOS/Android).

Current stage description

Once finished WEDISTRICT, the Command-and-Control suite will be validated internally during at least 1 year to provide feedback regarding additional requirements for market readiness. This includes 6 to 12 months of test and validation at small scale customers. Once completed the improvement cycle the command and control suite is expected to be ready for commercial exploitation.

Replicability

C&C suite leans on open-source software components, which, alongside tailored modules, shape a platform thought to work with the latest automation and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). Explained in layman’s terms, this platform can be straightforwardly replicated elsewhere.
