The main target are scientists using this service to predict the future development of stratospheric ozone using a variety of climate models. Secondary targets are high school teachers and citizens using this service in order to educate themselves about ozone science. For the maintenance of this service we need to constantly add new stratospheric ozone projections of state of the art model results.

The service is fully open for everyone and provides access to open datasets. A pre-processor runs on an HPC system, reducing the large data to the parameters of interest. The reduced data can be read by a REST API for further processing. There is a user-friendly GUI interface in the form of a Web Application. The service is going to be extended with more climate data. At the later stage, the EGI Check-in can be integrated to access e.g. restricted datasets.

The system has been developed in a modular and scalable fashion. If more users will use the system with more models it would still work in the same way with the same response times.

The service can easily be deployed on different systems using an approach that uses Helm and Kubernetes.

This is a conditional ‘yes’. Funding for this service has to be procured.
