The “Biodiversity” tool is aimed at policy makers, tourist guides, professional interest in environmental studies, researchers. It aims to further empower the use of Natura 2000 data by delivering biodiversity reporting – at any NUTS level or also at any Region of Interest freely drawn by the enduser in Campania. In addition this reporting which connect standard Natura 2000 data with many other environmental data having a much more integrated analysis of the biodiversity context of any specific site.
The report returns statistics and spatial distribution (maps and tabs) related to geology, soils, land use synthesis and detail, forest landscape integrity and many other environmental information (elevation, slope, aspect, NDVI, habitat quality). The tool provides information (maps and statistics) on national and regional Parks, reserves, Natura 2000 sites including the full list of the potentially observable species of flora and fauna.
