The SySTEM 2020 map is the result of 2-3 years campaigning across Europe and Israel/Palestine, whereby the consortium members of the SySTEM 2020 project have snowball sampled near and far within their own and neighbouring countries in order to encourage institutions to add themselves and their activities to the online interactive map. The result is a snapshot of the science learning landscape across Europe from 2019-2021.
The map, though no longer currently accepting further entries, is a useful dataset for many audiences. For researchers planning to explore and analyse the learning landscape, for practitioners looking to understand what’s on offer in their vicinity and potentially to act as brokers for science learning for their audiences, or for those looking to form new collaborations with near and far institutions for funding proposals or shared priorities, and for those with technical expertise who are interested in the potential of the map as a continuing resource for learners, practitioners and researchers alike
