Data and code are publicly archived and shared transparently. Code is also documented, enabling users to follow the studies which we carried out step by step.

Defining sustainability in terms of data and code which were publicly shared and documented, our results allow users to directly build on them, to replicate them, and to use them in their research. Our research is also sustainable in the sense that it can be used by other scientists to educate themselves and to learn how to conduct similar studies. Other types of sustainability do not apply to our results, since they cannot be monetarized, but reflect the public interest in creating knowledge about humanities past.
