The Low Carbon Pathways Platform allows users to easily explore different ways how our society can deeply decarbonize over the next decades. Scenarios for different emission reduction ambitions were calculated using state-of-the-art energy-economy-climate models. The online platform is built to allow decision-makers easy access to the information that matters in the process of achieving a low-carbon economy (future energy use, emissions, technology deployment, energy prices, etc. in different sectors). The results can be displayed and compared in a variety of ways. Potential users include a) the strategy units of companies that want to explore future demand for their products and services, as well as expected ranges of CO2 and energy prices; b) planning and policy units in ministries and administrations; c) investors trying to identify key technologies needed in low-carbon economies.
