Result description
The PPDP (Post-Processed Decadal Predictions) service developed by the climate data factory builds upon its existing climate projections service to provide ready to use decadal predictions to the adaptation and resilience community. The goal of this service is to improve decadal prediction skill so that this information can be effectively used for adaptation strategies, energy planning and disaster risk reduction.
Decadal predictions have been developed over the last 15 years to bridge the gap between seasonal forecast and climate projections. Recently, experimental operational initiatives have regularly produced decadal forecast with encouraging results.
