One of the fundamental principles of NGPaaS is to ensure maximal flexibility in permitting customized build-to-order PaaS solutions tailored to the business and technical requirements of the use cases. The new “NGPaaS Architecture” caters for the stakeholders and actors in the eco-system, including NGPaaS Operators, Vertical Service Providers (VSPs), Software Vendors, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) Providers and End Users (Consumers). The architecture enables the support of recurssion to support complex components thanks to the Re-Usable Function Block (RFB) (from Superfluidity project). Within the baseline architecture we include a “Dev-for-Operations” layer extending the IT industry’s DevOps approach to support a multi-sided platform between operators, vendors and verticals. The architecture has been stress-tested using diverse use-cases and scenarios. NGPaaS architecture offers a good alternative to the ‘one-size-fits all’ platforms.
