A map that gives a fast idea of nutrients staus of European agriculture . The budgets or balances used in SEA2LAND include inputs (manure, seeds and planting material and biological fixation) and outputs (removal of nutrients with the harvest of crops, harvest and grazing of fodder, removal and burning of crop residues), in thsi way we can identify esily excedentary and deficitary areas for each nutrient providinginteresting information for policies and measures definitiona and market purposes
This map shows the N, P, K, Ca, and Mg balances at the Nut3 level. These balances take into account the main crop and its nutritional needs, the organic nutrients available in the area (manure, etc.), the soil type, etc., and determine whether extra nutrients are needed or, conversely, whether there is an excess of any of them.
