We are looking for public funding bodies and industrial early adopters to pilot this distributed identity framework in real-world manufacturing environments. Specifically, we need support to standardize the schema registries across different industrial sectors and to integrate the IoT/Raspberry Pi edge agents into live factory floors for secure Machine-to-Machine (M2M) material tracking.

The core architecture has been designed, developed, and validated at component level. It includes a smart contract-based RoleRegistry, a cryptographic engine producing W3C VC v2 credentials with EIP-712 schemas, and a Challenge Service for replay protection. The solution has been demonstrated, with next steps focusing on integration testing and IoT-ready authentication deployment.

The monorepo structure (separating apps/contracts, apps/issuer, apps/verifier, apps/web) and reliance on standard JSON-LD schemas allow it to be easily replicated across any industrial sector (e.g., textiles, automotive, electronics) requiring trusted data exchange.

By utilizing standardized, open-source libraries and leveraging Alastria’s established public-permissioned network, the system avoids the prohibitive gas fees of public mainnets while ensuring long-term technological relevance and European regulatory alignment.
