LOPEC 2026 brought strong momentum for the KETMarket Innovation Network. The KETMarket booth welcomed many visitors from the printed electronics, advanced materials and deep-tech communities, creating valuable conversations around new collaborations, technology transfer and funding opportunities. Highlights included the Convert2Green Farewell Beer Event and the LOPEC Start-up Award.
KETMarket has upgraded its Innovator Profiles to improve visibility, structure and discovery across the innovation ecosystem. The redesigned profiles help innovators present their technologies, competencies and expertise more clearly, while making it easier for customers, partners and investors to identify relevant solutions. Premium users can now create dedicated Innovator entries, with all assigned member technologies displayed in one place for a complete technology portfolio overview.
On 27 January, KETMarket hosted the webinar “Functional Integration in Polymers — from Material Design to Application-Ready Components”, featuring expert contributions from Fraunhofer IAP (Potsdam-Golm). The session explored how advanced polymer technologies are translated from research into industrial applications. Key topics included polymer-integrated electronics and optics using quantum dots and printable QD inks, piezoelectric and ferroelectric polymers for sensing and energy harvesting, polymer-based energy storage components such as PFAS-free membranes responding to EU regulation, and industrial use of shape memory polymers enabled by 3D/4D printing.
We sincerely thank our speakers and all attendees for an engaging discussion. Interested in presenting in a future webinar? Get in touch.
Having a strong technology is only the starting point — commercial success requires much more. In reality, innovation needs a holistic approach that goes beyond performance and prototypes. Key success factors include IP protection, scalable manufacturing, a sustainable business model, a clear value proposition, and regulatory readiness.
KETMarket members benefit from a proven methodology that systematically addresses all five areas to accelerate commercial impact. We help innovators answer the questions investors, customers, and partners always ask: How do you scale from lab to fab? What is the right IP strategy? How investor-ready is the business model? Who finances the next steps?
