This funding call, under the Horizon Europe framework, seeks proposals to foster innovative and compliant data ecosystems, aligning with the objectives of the AI, Data, and Robotics Partnership. The call addresses the increasing complexity of EU legislation and the challenges businesses and professionals face in ensuring compliance, especially with reporting obligations and regulatory enforcement. It emphasizes advanced technologies for data collection, sharing, and analytics to simplify and automate compliance processes while reducing administrative burdens. A notable focus is placed on the generation and management of synthetic data to overcome limitations of real-world data, enhancing quality, diversity, and representativeness.
The initiative aims to develop advanced compliance technologies, support the creation of auto-compliance tools for data transactions, and leverage synthetic data for improved regulatory adherence and AI-powered innovation. It emphasizes a user-centric approach, requiring proposals to address real needs and provide tangible progress indicators. Comprehensive training and support for stakeholders are critical to ensure scalability and adaptability to evolving regulations.
Actions should consider cybersecurity, interoperability, and standardization to facilitate secure data sharing. Proposals must align with the FAIR principles and “compliance by design.” Each submission must target one or more of three areas: compliance technology, auto-compliance tools, or synthetic data management, with a clear primary focus.
With an indicative budget of 45.00 million €, this call invites Innovation Actions (IA) to achieve a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 7-8 by project completion. Proposals will support the EU's vision for competitive and compliant data ecosystems in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
