This call focuses on advancing the commercialisation of perovskite photovoltaic (PV) technologies by developing dedicated manufacturing processes and equipment. Recognizing the rapid development and potential of perovskite solar cells (PSCs), the initiative aims to overcome challenges such as scaling up production, achieving long-term stability, reducing or eliminating toxic solvents, and preventing lead leakage into the environment. Projects are expected to address enhancing optoelectronic properties, scaling up reliable deposition of high-quality perovskite films, developing encapsulation structures, considering recyclability, and assessing performance and reliability compared to established PV technologies.
Participants should involve multidisciplinary consortia, including at least one perovskite or equipment manufacturer, and present a strong business case with plans for scalability and commercialization. This call implements the co-programmed European Partnership for Innovation in Photovoltaics (EUPI-PV) and supports the execution of the solar energy joint research and innovation agenda.
