Dr. John Fahlteich
CEO
John completed his degree in Physics at Leipzig University in 2005, graduating with a Diplom. In 2010, he earned his doctorate with a dissertation on vacuum-deposited permeation barrier coatings. John has 18 years of experience in thin-film and nanotechnology.
Until September 2022, he served as Head of Research Group at the Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology (FEP) in Dresden, where he led a team of 18 employees (including students) and managed an annual budget of €2.5 million. During this time, John was involved in several EU-funded pilot lines and OITB projects.
In 2022, he became CEO of KETMarket with the goal of establishing a digital marketplace for open innovation and creating a central access point for European innovation ecosystems.
Nancy Kühne
Certified Management Assistant
After several years of working in the hospitality industry and leading an event team, Nancy completed vocational training as an office management clerk in 2015. Until March 2023, she worked as a Team and Management Assistant at Fraunhofer FEP. Her responsibilities included (among others) the preparation of workshops and events as well as the coordination of travel activities and trade fair visits.
In 2020, Nancy completed a distance learning program to become a certified management assistant. Her expertise includes accounting, human resources, event organization, project management, and import/export regulations.
M.Sc. Patric Gerö
Head of Platform Development and Quality Manager
Patric earned a Master’s degree in Integrated Management Systems from Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences in 2021. He gained his first professional experience as a Quality Manager at Fraunhofer FEP in Dresden, where he established quality management processes and supported researchers in implementing the standards ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 27001 (Information Security Management). He specializes in quality and information security management and also has experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and ISO 56002.
At KETMarket, Patric serves as Head of Platform Development and is responsible for the strategic and technical leadership of platform development, overseeing the end-to-end implementation of new features—from backend and frontend to user experience. He consistently integrates principles of quality and information security management throughout the entire development process. With expertise in PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, he leads the development of tailored WordPress plugins and features for KETMarket. His projects are characterized by clean architecture, high maintainability, and scalability. In addition, he oversees technical platform maintenance, onboarding of new members, and helpdesk support.
Philip Poplutz
Student Assistant for Web Development
Philip graduated from high school in 2020 with a focus on computer science. Since then, he has been studying Business Information Systems at the University of Applied Sciences for Technology and Economics Dresden. In June 2023, he began working as a student assistant at KETMarket. He is actively involved in programming new features for the KETMarket website, developing database middleware to facilitate data exchange between cloud-based collaboration tools, and creating tools for the collection, processing, and analysis of data, particularly for research reports.
Anna Iwanowa
Social Media Marketing Assistant
Anna Ivanova joined KETMarket in September 2022. Originally from Ukraine, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from The Hague University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Anna began her career in communications at the Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation, where she worked for over two years as a Social Media Coordinator and Research Associate. She supported researchers and managed the online presence of the Contested Histories project.
During her time at AMIRES, where she worked as a Junior Marketing Specialist before joining KETMarket, she gained in-depth insight into the EU research and innovation landscape. Anna’s professional interests include learning and development as well as public policy decision-making.
