This call aims to establish a co-funded European Partnership for Brain Health to tackle challenges in brain health research and innovation. The partnership focuses on aligning brain health research policies, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and creating an integrated research and innovation ecosystem. Specific goals include improving diagnosis and care for brain disorders, reducing stigma, and promoting data sharing under FAIR principles. The initiative seeks to bridge research with healthcare providers, the private sector, and policymakers to translate findings into actionable health products and interventions. Additionally, it aims to support networking, training, and capacity building in brain health research.
The partnership will run from 2025 to 2027 with a total indicative budget of 150.000.000 €. Activities will include transnational research calls, training, networking, and leveraging existing infrastructures like ECRIN and EBRAINS. Collaboration with international organizations and third countries is encouraged. Key targeted groups include academia, research institutes, industry, NGOs, and civil society actors. The initiative also aligns with EU strategic priorities like the EU4Health Programme and the Pharmaceutical Strategy for Europe.
