Aligned with the EU’s 2050 climate neutrality objectives and various environmental and industrial strategies, the call seeks to equip SMEs to overcome barriers in adopting green and circular business practices. Proposals should deliver innovative products, services, or strategies that significantly reduce resource consumption, environmental impact, and support biodiversity.
Applicants are encouraged to develop and demonstrate solutions such as new business models, collaborative approaches, or advanced digital tools like AI-driven digital product passports. Solutions must be demonstrated in large-scale operational environments involving SMEs, ensuring transferability to different sectors or contexts. Additionally, proposals should analyze required skills and include training activities for SME employees.
Policy alignment is critical, including adherence to EU regulations such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the Green Claims Directive. Proposals should also build on existing EU-funded projects and foster collaborations with public organizations like the Enterprise Europe Network.
Projects are expected to deliver actionable recommendations for policy updates, ensuring broad adoption of validated solutions. Consortia are encouraged to include SMEs, industry associations, and non-governmental organizations to maximize impact.
