This call focuses on promoting a clean, competitive, and circular bioeconomy by fostering innovative, climate-neutral bio-based industrial processes. Projects should demonstrate reduced energy use and flexibility in energy supply for bio-based industrial systems, excluding food/feed, biofuels, and recreational sectors. Key areas of focus include improving energy efficiency through advanced technologies, optimizing the water-energy nexus, enhancing energy consumption flexibility, and integrating renewable energy solutions. Proposals must include a multi-actor approach and aim for a TRL of 7 by the project's end. The integration of digital tools, including AI, is encouraged to optimize solutions. Results should contribute to climate neutrality, resilience against energy supply issues, and reduced emissions associated with energy use.
Opening: 06-05-2025
Deadline(s): 17-09-2025
