The City of Frankfurt am Main has launched the 'Klimabonus' funding programme to support climate protection and adaptation initiatives. With a total budget of 21.000.000 €, the programme offers financial assistance to private individuals, companies, associations, organisations, and communities implementing measures on their properties within Frankfurt. Eligible projects include: - Roof, facade, and courtyard greening - Rainwater storage systems and drinking fountains - Solar installations, including mini-PV systems (balcony power plants) - Battery storage systems and charging stations The funding rates vary by measure: - Solar installations: 20% of eligible costs - Solar green roofs: 30% - Mini-PV systems: 50% (75% with Frankfurt Pass) - Battery storage: 20% - Charging stations: 20% - Roof, facade, and courtyard greening: 50% - Rainwater storage: 50% - Drinking fountains: 50% Collaborative projects receive an additional 5% bonus, with a maximum funding amount of 100.000 € per project.
