This funding call, part of the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2025 under Civil Security for Society, aims to improve the intelligence picture and enhance the prevention, detection, and deterrence of various forms of organised crime. The call focuses on equipping European Police Authorities with modern tools, skills, and methodologies to tackle organised crime effectively. Proposals are encouraged to address new or emerging challenges, including creative or disruptive solutions that extend beyond previous research initiatives.
Proposals must involve at least three Police Authorities from different EU Member States or Associated Countries and should include a mid-term assessment by practitioners. The integration of satellite-based services such as Copernicus and Galileo/EGNOS is required if relevant. Engaging with Europol Innovation Lab and, where applicable, the EU Drugs Agency is also expected to validate and enhance outcomes.
Eligible activities should achieve Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6-7 by the project's conclusion, ensuring practical applicability. Coordination among successful projects is recommended to maximize impact and avoid duplication.
