Result description
Voltage monitor monitors the operation of electrochemical systems (fuel cells, electrochemical compression and purification systems (EHC/EHP), electrolysers) by measuring cell voltages and stack current, and by performing electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). It can simultaneously monitor up to 26 cell voltages and stack DC current.
Power supply with built-in diagnostic capabilities provides adjustable DC current to EHC/EHP. By DC current control it is possible to directly control the hydrogen flow. The max. DC output is 200 A at 5 V and it can be modulated by a low frequency signals (from DC to over 20 kHz), which are needed for EIS.
New algorithms for condition monitoring of electrochemical systems are based on EIS using pseudo random binary sequence (PRBS) excitation signal. Testing is performed much faster than by classic EIS using sine excitation.
The adaptable control system supports the operation of the complete electrochemical systems (gas pressure and flowrate, humidification, cooling/heating, diagnostic functions, safety functions). Thanks to the library of function blocks, the adaptation to different EHP or EHC configurations and sizes is uncomplicated.
