Mobility program – outgoing mobility of assistants (MOBDOK-2023)

Description

The call is part of the Croatian Science Foundation’s (HRZZ) Mobility Programme funded under Croatia’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPOO), aimed at improving research, development, and innovation capacities of young researchers through short-term training at international R&D institutions. This sub-program supports assistants enrolled in doctoral studies to visit leading foreign institutions to gain skills, experience, and networks that will enhance their doctoral research and career prospects.

Scope

  • Supports short-term outbound mobility of assistants from Croatian research organizations to foreign R&D institutions.
  • All scientific fields are eligible.
  • Mobility must be between 31 and 184 days.
  • Host organizations may include universities, institutes, research centers, companies (including SMEs), NGOs, humanitarian organizations, and international research organizations (e.g., EMBL, CERN).

Funding Amount

  • Funding per project: €85/day (fixed stipend) for the assistant’s stay abroad.
  • Project duration: 31 to 184 days.

Submission Information

  • Permanently open call with 3-month cycles until funds are exhausted.
  • Cycle closing dates: 20.06.2023, 20.09.2023, 20.12.2023, 20.03.2024, 20.06.2024, 20.09.2024, 20.12.2024, 20.03.2025, 20.06.2025, 19.09.2025, 19.12.2025.
  • Mobility must start within 6 months of the cycle closing date.

Eligible Individuals

  • Assistants (doctoral candidates) employed at the Croatian applicant organization for the entire mobility duration.
  • Must be enrolled in a doctoral study program.
  • Must have support from both the Croatian mentor and the host mentor.

  • Strengthened international collaboration.
  • Improved quality of doctoral research through exposure to new methodologies, skills, and perspectives.
