EU-India Matchmaking Event in New Delhi and Greater Noida 2026 – Call for Expression of Interest – Clusters

Description

This Call for Expression of Interest (EoI) is launched by the European Commission via the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) to select participants for the EU–India Matchmaking Event 2026 in New Delhi and Greater Noida, India.

The initiative aims to build a European delegation of cluster organisations and SMEs to participate in a matchmaking mission that fosters EU–India industrial cooperation, particularly in the context of green and clean technology value chains. The event supports cluster-to-cluster (C2C), cluster-to-business (C2B), and business-to-business (B2B) collaboration between Europe and India in strategic sectors such as renewable energy and advanced clean technologies.

Funding Amount

  • Maximum reimbursement per selected organisation: up to EUR 1,700
  • Eligible costs:
    • Economy-class return flight to India
    • Up to 3 hotel nights
  • Reimbursement is based on actual costs incurred and supporting invoices.
  • Only one representative per organisation is eligible for reimbursement.

Submission Deadlines

The call has three cut-off deadlines:

  • 17 June 2026 – first cut-off (only if places remain)
  • 8 July 2026 – second cut-off (only if places remain)
  • 31 August 2026 – final cut-off (only if places remain)

Late submissions may be considered by 9 October only if capacity remains available.

Submission Conditions

  • Submission via Expression of Interest (online application)
  • Multiple cut-off evaluation rounds
  • Selection based on eligibility and strategic fit
  • Applications can be revised and resubmitted for later cut-offs if not selected
  • Participants must accept call terms upon submission
  • Limited places; selection may close early if capacity is reached

Eligible Types of Businesses

  • Cluster organisations
  • Business network organisations
  • SMEs (especially those linked to clusters)
  • Innovation actors in energy and clean-tech sectors

Eligible Countries

  • EU Member States
  • Countries associated with the Single Market Programme (SMP/COSME strand)
  • India (as host and cooperation partner country)

Expected Outcome

Participants are expected to:

  • Establish new EU–India business and innovation partnerships
  • Develop cross-border cluster cooperation agreements
  • Identify value chain collaboration opportunities
  • Facilitate market access for SMEs in India
  • Strengthen internationalisation of European SMEs and clusters
  • Support innovation in clean energy and green technologies

Scope

The call focuses on participation in a matchmaking mission targeting cooperation in:

  • Renewable energy and storage technologies (solar, wind, hydrogen)
  • Clean energy solutions for industry, mobility, and heavy sectors
  • Smart grids and energy infrastructure technologies
  • Electric mobility and charging infrastructure
  • Green finance and investment facilitation

Activities include:

  • Business matchmaking sessions (B2B / C2C)
  • Networking with Indian stakeholders
  • Participation in sector-focused expo activities
  • Pitching sessions and site/exhibition visits (depending on programme design)
