Scope
- Examine dissonant heritage assets related to colonial, authoritarian, or totalitarian regimes, including their contested narratives.
- Engage diverse disciplines, including history, anthropology, heritage conservation, and memory studies, to provide comprehensive analyses.
- Develop a Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for preservation, conservation, and adaptive reuse of contested heritage.
- Analyze gendered and intersectional aspects to promote equality and inclusivity.
- Support cultural and creative industries (CCIs) and local authorities in revitalizing contested heritage sites for sustainable cultural tourism and educational purposes.
- Develop digital tools and platforms, such as virtual tours and augmented reality experiences, to make contested heritage accessible to a broader audience.
- Pilot educational and cultural programs in at least two countries, targeting young people, local communities, and international tourists.
