The 8th German-Taiwanese Call for Proposals invites joint research and development (R&D) projects aimed at developing innovative, market-ready products, services, or methods across all technological and application areas. This initiative is a collaboration between the German Institute in Taipei and the Taipei Representative Office in Germany, providing access to public funding for joint projects through respective national funding schemes: ZIM (Central Innovation Programme for SMEs) in Germany and AIIP (A+ Industrial Innovative R&D Program) in Taiwan.

Eligible projects must include at least one commercial company from each country, with balanced contributions and significant involvement from all partners. Additional research organizations and companies are welcome as participants or subcontractors, adhering to each country's funding regulations. The project duration should not exceed three years, and proposals must demonstrate a clear advantage and added value resulting from the bilateral cooperation.

Submissions require a common proposal in English, legally signed by all participating organizations, and a draft consortium agreement detailing the terms of cooperation, including intellectual property rights and commercialization plans. National applications must be submitted concurrently according to respective guidelines.

This call offers an opportunity to leverage complementary expertise and resources from both countries, fostering innovation and strengthening international partnerships.
