The Horizon-CL6-2025-03-GOVERNANCE-11 call aims to enhance rural development by leveraging digital twin technologies for rural communities, agriculture, and forestry. The project encourages the use of digital twins to improve sustainability and resilience in rural areas. Proposals are expected to design, prototype, and test digital twin technologies in key sectors such as agriculture, forestry, and other rural industries. The projects should focus on creating 3D digital maps of villages and promoting data-driven decision-making to enhance sustainability. The initiative also supports capacity building for local administrations and rural stakeholders and encourages the use of digital technologies to improve governance and village development. The project emphasizes co-creation with rural actors and aims to improve rural innovation ecosystems through collaborative solutions. Additionally, it supports the development of a public web-based platform that utilizes immersive technologies for village development and heritage promotion.
