The 'HORIZON-CL6-2025-03-GOVERNANCE-05' funding call aims to address the challenges of land and sea use competition in the context of the European Green Deal and the EU's climate targets for 2030 and 2050. The project will focus on the development of methodologies, tools, and processes to assess the implications of current and future policies on land, sea, and biomass use. The goal is to create integrated deliberation tools that help regional policymakers make informed decisions to manage land and sea sustainably while preserving biodiversity, reducing emissions, and improving food and energy security. Successful proposals will contribute to the EU bioeconomy strategy, aiming for a circular economy that balances environmental, social, and economic objectives. The tools developed should address trade-offs across various sectors, including agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and aquaculture. A key element is ensuring the tools reflect regional ecological, economic, and societal contexts, fostering just societal transformations in line with EU climate policies.
