Impacts of culture and the arts on health and well-being
This Horizon Europe call focuses on enhancing the role of culture and arts in improving health and well-being across different population groups. It aims to foster cross-sectoral cooperation among cultural, health, education, social, youth, and humanitarian sectors. The objective is to document and analyze evidence of cultural interventions on health, provide policy recommendations, and create scalable, evidence-based practices. Projects should consider both the positive and potential adverse effects of cultural participation while focusing on inclusion, mental health, and societal cohesion.

Scope
- Develop a platform for knowledge exchange on culture and well-being, emphasizing cross-sectoral cooperation.
- Provide policy guidelines and evaluate interventions in areas like:
- Health promotion
- Mental health and well-being (with a focus on youth and working individuals)
- Ageing populations
- Health of forcibly displaced individuals
- Inequalities and their links to ill-health
- Map evidence gaps in research on arts and health.
- Collect and evaluate cultural interventions to assess clinical and cost-effectiveness.
- Create narratives connecting arts, health, and well-being from individual and societal perspectives.
- Highlight social cohesion and inclusion as key priorities.
- Address barriers to cross-sectoral collaboration and develop a mixed model for participation at local, national, and regional levels.
