This Horizon Europe funding call focuses on enhancing the security of EU external borders and maritime areas. It aims to develop innovative solutions to address challenges like illegal trafficking, irregular migration, piracy, and hybrid threats. Proposals are encouraged to tackle real-time situational awareness, improve reaction capabilities, and develop sustainable and scalable solutions for border and maritime security. Solutions should incorporate cutting-edge technologies such as autonomous platforms, data processing systems, and robotics, while also integrating perspectives of human rights, ethical considerations, and environmental impact. Active involvement of at least two Border or Coast Guard Authorities from different EU Member States or Associated Countries is mandatory.
