This funding call focuses on the development of innovative tools, methodologies, and training curricula for security practitioners, including police authorities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and civil society organisations (CSOs). The goal is to improve the prevention, detection, and deterrence of crime and terrorism while addressing societal issues and respecting fundamental rights. Proposals should provide evidence-based support to policymakers, enhance the cultural and societal understanding of crime and terrorism, and improve citizens' perception of Europe as an area of justice and security. Activities should achieve TRL 5-6 and involve collaboration with key EU bodies like Europol Innovation Lab or the EU Drugs Agency where relevant. Financial support to third parties, such as national police authorities and CSOs, is encouraged to expand the project's scope and user base. Coordination among projects to avoid duplication and maximise impact is also a priority.
