The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) supports your activities to participate in the European research program "Horizon Europe" in Cluster 3 "Civil Security for Society." This includes, among other things, the following activities necessary for preparing and drafting an EU application:
- Engaging with the intended funding instrument,
- Early formation of a consortium,
- Thematic network building,
- Developing the EU application, or
- Preparing the final submission of the EU application.
Primarily, individual projects with German coordination of the EU application are funded.
You will receive the funding as a grant for a period of up to 12 months.
You can receive up to EUR 120,000 per project.
The funding procedure is two-stage. In the 1st stage, please submit your project outline to the designated project management organization.
In the 2nd stage, you will be invited to submit a formal funding application based on your positively evaluated project outline. Please use the electronic application system easy-Online for preparing your project outline and application.
