Overall Description

The SRSEI 2025 call — Setting up European or International Scientific Networks — is part of ANR’s 2025 Work Programme. It adopts a continuous submission format throughout the year. The call aims to support French researchers in establishing transnational networks (comprising at least two or three international partners), allowing them to prepare and submit a collaborative project in response to a major European or international two- or three-stage funding call with significant scientific, technological, or societal impact. Importantly, it is designed to facilitate successful submission, not to fund the research itself.

Funding Amount

• Per project funding: A flat grant of €17,000, disbursed over a 12-month period, to a single beneficiary in France.
• Funding is allocated on a rolling basis as applications are submitted and approved.

Submission Deadlines

• Opening date: 27 March 2025 at 09:00 CET.
• Deadline: Continuous submission throughout the year (no fixed closing date)

Submission Conditions

• Application must use a simplified application file.
• There is only one beneficiary: the French research organisation acting as PI, which will receive the funds for the entire network.
• Selection process: Simplified, relying on the evaluation of the intended European or international call — essentially skipping extensive internal scientific review.

Eligible Types of Organisations

• Researchers at French laboratories or research organisations are eligible (and must act as the coordinating body).
• The call is explicitly geared toward network formation with international partners.
• The funds are awarded only to a single French beneficiary, representing the network.
