Testing Capabilities for Next Generation Climate Neutral Aviation

This call focuses on advancing testing capabilities for next-generation climate-neutral aviation. The aim is to better understand and develop critical technologies requiring updated strategic EU testing facilities, such as wind tunnels. Emphasis is placed on transformative airframe and propulsion technologies, including the integration of open fan architectures, distributed hybrid/electric propulsion, high aspect ratio and highly flexible unfueled wings, and aeroacoustics. Projects should align with the 'Fly the Green Deal' vision and the 2050 climate-neutral aviation objectives, exploiting synergies with other EU or national projects.
