2 Years, 3 Wins: NADES Design’s Rise with EIT Support

NADES Design, a Croatian start-up founded by scientists from the University of Zagreb, successfully developed innovative natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) with applications in extraction, biocatalysis, and life sciences.

With support from the EIT Community through the EIT Jumpstarter and EWA programmes, the team transitioned their research into a market-ready solution aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions and promoting green chemistry. Their achievements include winning first place in EWA Croatia, securing €200,000 in national funding, and representing Croatia in the EIT Post-Jumpstarter NYC cohort. NADES Design exemplifies how EIT support empowers science-driven start-ups to scale sustainable innovation across Europe and beyond.
