Result description
In the framework of the HYPERGRYD project, the Grid Singularity Exchange, software developed under an open source GPL v.3 licence with copyright-protected user interfaces, has been enhanced with additional features: digital twins to represent heat pumps and to assess the role of district heating in local energy markets, thereby enabling sector coupling.

Grid Singularity continues to innovate, adding new features, performance indicators and improving functionalities. We are also testing advanced peer-to-peer trading in pilot communities and rolling out the commercial application to manage energy communities.
Our software has a blockchain implementation to ensure secure trading among multiple energy communities i.e. to manage high transaction throughput.
Simulation studies are replicable. Operational software can be deployed in multiple environments.
Produces positive environmental impact (increased self-sufficiency) and economic benefits, both increasing with scale.
