Result description
Following the project, Brevel developed a disruptive technology for microalgae cultivation which revolutionizes the microalgae industry and enables large industrial-scale production at a high quality and significantly lower costs than available today.
Brevel is aiming to become a global leader in the microalgae industry and help solve the challenge of global food and nutrition with highly nutritious and affordable microalgae for all.
Through the project Brevel also reached large market players and holds several LOIs from different customers.
Now, once the technology is fully mature, Brevel is planning to assemble the first pilot factory and enter commercial production of microalgae. The first use-case Brevel is aiming for is the aquaculture salmon feed additive market and replace currently used synthetic ingredients which are prohibited for human consumption with high-quality natural ones from microalgae.
