More competitive Absorption Heat Transformer:
The contribution of the Indus3Es Project to progress beyond the state of the art is related to improve operational behaviour as well as cost competitiveness of Absoroption Heat Transformes (AHT) by introduing innovative ideas to the main design (heat exchangers), auxiliary equipment (e.g. purge system) and control. Implemented main innovation are:
- The implementtion of two adiabatic absorption operation modes
- Innovative motor less non condensable gases purge system
- Indus3Es AHT behaviour automatic control with attention to anticrystalization and performance automatic adjustment
- Installation of an AHT at a refinery overcoming high security requirements in explosive environments
