Determination of the coefficient of friction between an moving part (to be analysed) and the counter part made of 100Cr6. With a specialised tribometer the friction coefficient of a coated or uncoated component can be determined and thereby the performance of coatings can be evaluated. The friction coefficent can also determined with the MCT using a ball of 100Cr6 as counter part. The friction coeffienct can also determined over time / with rising cycles and dependent on the applied normal force.
