R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
Current Stage: MPW Tapeout on GF22FDX done
Next Steps: Transport to 12nm technology and produce SOC with high bandwidth memory
The machine learning /AI space will be requiring large amounts of computation: on-board, on the edge and at the data center. The demand for silicon capable of processing the vast amounts of AI computations needed is at an inflection point and is and will be growing at very high CAGR. This will be further reinforced by geo/national constraints where certain critical data will need to be processed by processors created in Europe.
High Volume manufacturing is customary in the ASIC business
AI will be a key enabler of improvements in social life. To reap the benefits that new AI algorithms will bring to the society and the environment, vast amounts of coumpting capabilities are needed. For data protection and security reasons, AI processing is better done on computing elements that can be trusted. SemiDynamics’ solution, being fully European based, captures the economic value of the incoming “AI computing demand wave” while supporting the social and economical capital that AI will bring to the European citizens.
