Result description
The CIRC-PACK project has developed an online tool allowing others to assess – and improve the eco-design of packaging.
It does so by users of the tool inputting a wide range of data, including:
- use of recycled materials
- use of bio-based materials
- compostability after end-of-life
- Main materials of product
- lifespan & functional units
- adhesives, coatings, laminations and other features
Based on this, users of the tool will receive an overall assessment of the packaging in terms of:
- recyclability
- compatibility of materials
- circular economy-related indicators
- eco-design suggestions for how to improve it.
