The results from Vedliot show that it is possible to distribute AI processing capability which increases its accessibility to vehicles that do not have the most advanced systems onboard. One application is improved collective perception which is expected to make the traffic environment safer for all by sharing of relevant information which can enhance the situational awareness of all traffic participants and thereby avoiding accidents.
