The EERAdata community platform is a web-based application providing a low-barrier entry point to low-carbon energy data for the energy research community. Supporting and promoting the FAIR data principles in the energy sector, the platform aims to serve various user groups for energy data ranging from researchers, science funders, planners in the energy sector and industry, data scientists, publishers and the general public. The platform provides a tool to create metadata for a given dataset and to add this metadata to a searchable repository for low-carbon energy data resources. In this way the platform provides systematic access to data through detailed hands-on information on improving the FAIR status of databases, tools and access to a vast collection of information on FAIR data (the EERAdata knowledge base). Moreover, it connects to a wide variety of FAIR data expertise in the energy community and beyond.
