Result description
The poison mitigation strategies considered worked well to increase the operation time and efficiency of the EHP when operating with impure feeds. For the all-inclusive H2 feed stream considered, the SMR-WGS-H2S H2 feed (78.6% H2, 18.5% CO2, 2.9% CH4, 20 ppm CO and 100 ppb H2S), the EHP would completely poison in less than 1 hr. However, with the addition of the 1.15% O2 + 0.05% O3 bleed, the EHP can now operate with a current density of ~73% (~1.1 A.cm-2) of the current density with a pure H2 feed.
