This Key Exploitable Result is a Good Practice recommendation for Low Trophic Aquaculture hatchery production, using oysters, mussels, macroalgae, and sea cusumbers as examples. The open development process for this guideline was initiated by the AquaVitae project, and around 40 experts from industry and academia contributed, including experts from outside the AquaVitae project. The recommendation is now published as a CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA), and the European Committee for Standardzation (CEN) will be responsible for distributing the guideline after project end. This is a document that can be used or referred to by industry when planning LTA hatchery operations, for training purposes, and when writing scientific publications.
