This result provides an industry level description and robust methodologies for the production of bivalves (oysters and mussels), echinoderms (Sea cucumbers) and both microalgae and macroalgae (sugar kelp). One of the main limiting factors in the realisation of the production potential of low trophic species around the Atlantic is the lack of consistency in hatchery production. This low level industry stand aims to give a baseline in production processes that can be implemented by low trophic producers of different species. The overall impact of the CWA on low trophic hatchery production will remove the trial and error processes of producing low trophic species.
